Did you know that having strong and healthy nails is not just about having a good nail care routine? What you eat also plays a big role in nail health. Below, I’ll share a super simple healthy smoothie recipe for nails. It’s not only delicious but also packed with the vitamins and minerals that your nails will love. This smoothie is full of antioxidants and essential nutrients that will make your nails look and feel amazing!

Ingredients
1. Frozen Mixed Berries
Berries are sweet fruits that are great at making your nails stronger! They do two important things for your nails. First, they’re a great source of vitamin C, which helps with collagen production. Collagen protein is what gives your nails their structure which helps prevent brittle nails. Second, berries are packed with antioxidants which have amazing health benefits. Antioxidants protect your nails and cuticles from free radical damage.

2. Almond Milk
Almond milk is packed with powerful nutrients! It’s rich in vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that fights free radicals(like vitamin C). These free radicals can affect the health of your nails. But having vitamin E in your diet is a great way of protecting your nails.

3. Banana
Bananas aren’t just a sweet and tropical fruit. They are a good natural source of biotin(one of the b vitamins). Biotin helps give your stronger nails because it aids in healthy cell growth.

How to Make It

Prep Time: 5 Minutes
- Grab your blender and pour in 1/2 cup of your almond milk first. Starting with liquid at the bottom makes blending your smoothies a lot easier.
- Next, you want to add the banana! Peel it and slice it up, then drop the slices into the blender.
- Get those frozen berries ready! Add 1 cup of them to the mix. The frozen berries make your smoothie icy and refreshing. I get mine from my local Whole Foods.
- Now, blend everything together until it’s smooth. It might take a couple of minutes, but it’s totally worth the wait. Once it’s all blended up, pour your tasty blend into a glass and enjoy.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I Store This? Yes. Pop any extra smoothie into the freezer and it’ll stay good for about a week. Just remember to take it out ahead of time so it can thaw a bit before you drink it.
- Can I Make Smoothie Bowls with this? Absolutely! If you want a thicker smoothie bowl, just add a little less almond milk. Then you can pour your smoothie into a bowl and top it with some crunchy granola, peanut butter, or even a sprinkle of flax seed. Note: Flax seed is great for improving your digestive health
- Can I Use Fresh Unfrozen Berries? You can, but I would not recommend doing this. Your smoothie will be warm which is not ideal, especially with the summer heat.
- Do I Have to Use Almond Milk? Nope, you’ve got options! If you’re not a fan of almond milk, you can use regular milk or even other types of milk like coconut milk which is a great alternative.
- Can you add toppings? Yes, feel free to add granola or chia seeds on top of your smoothie. Note: Chia seeds are a great thing to add to your smoothies as a topping. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and plant proteins.
- Can I add Protein Powder? You can, but please be mindful of the flavor you are using. A chocolate flavor protein flavor will clash with this. I would recommend a lemony flavor powder if you do this.
So there you have it, a super easy and super tasty berry smoothie that’ll give your nail beds the love they deserve. Drink up and watch those nails go from weak to strong! Want more tips to stop your nails from breaking? Check out my post here.
